When comparing costs keep in mind that I've included the cost of the router, the motor/driver package, and some tools that I used to build the router that would not be included in other packages. For example, I needed the drill press to be able to drill the holes accurately. It was cheaper to buy it than it would have been to buy cut and drilled parts, so it's cost is inculded above.
